Village Welcome, friends! We’re Jimmy and Lisa, and we did something we’ve never done before. We wrote a song. Not a jingle, not a campfire singalong we made up after one too many s’mores. A real song, with a real music video, made for the people who turned a few RV trips into a whole village.

It’s called “Where the Memories Are,” and it’s our love letter to the FindUsCamping Village.

Why We Wrote a Song About the Village

It started on an ordinary day. I was sitting at my computer working on plans for our next campout. While I was mapping it all out, my mind started wandering to all the places we’ve been and all the people we’ve met along the way.

Every campground had a face attached to it. Every road had a story. So I decided to put it into a song, and “Where the Memories Are” is what came out of it.

After 18+ years of RVing and 6+ years full-time on the road, we’ve learned the best part of this life isn’t the destination. It’s the people parked next to you.

So many of our favorite memories started with a simple hello. A campground neighbor waving from their steps. An extra chair pulled up to the fire. A shared adventure that turned into a standing invitation. Before long, strangers started feeling like home.

That feeling is what we call the Village, and we wanted to put it somewhere you could press play on it.

What You’ll See in the Video

The music video pulls together real moments from our travels and from our Village gatherings. No actors, no stock footage, just the folks who show up:

• Campfires that went way past “just one more story”
• Sunsets from the road and from the campground
• Laughter at our campouts and RV Crawls, with 25 to 100 rigs rolling in at a time
• Cruising adventures with Villagers who traded the rig for a ship for a week
• The everyday moments that make a group of RVers feel like family

A Song for Villagers Old and New

This one is for the friends we’ve met along the way, and the ones we haven’t met yet. Whether you’re full-time, weekends-only, still shopping for your first rig, or following along from your couch, there’s a seat by the fire for you.

We’ve rolled roughly a quarter million miles in three years, and every mile got better because someone in the Village was waiting at the next stop.
