And….Just like that!! It Happened

You ever have one of those days where everything is going smooth, you’re jamming out to some truck karaoke— Kate Watson Music on the radio, life is good... and then, ...BAM.

Out of nowhere, the whole mood shifts.

We’re rolling along, feeling good, and spot some deer off in a field to our left. No big deal, right? Well... one deer makes it across the road no problem. Then out of the blue, three more decide to make a run for it—and straight into the side of our truck. Yep, you read that right. They T-boned us.

Some of y’all might remember a couple years ago when we hit a deer head-on with our Chevrolet and it did some serious damage. After that, we thought we were smart and put a Ranch Hand Truck Grille Guard on this new truck. Guess what? Doesn’t do a whole lot when the deer come from the side.

We just looked at each other like... seriously? Did that just happen?

A few miles later, we pulled over to check the damage. The whole side of our Ford Motor Company F450 is trashed. Thankfully, nobody was hurt and the truck still drives like a champ, but now we get the joy of figuring out when and where we’re gonna get it fixed.

Just another day in the RV Life!!

Then, we set sail on a surprise manatee boat tour where Woody almost gets seasick (and way too up-close with mating sea turtles — yikes! 🐢💀). Captain Michelle made sure we stayed safe, laughed a lot, and spotted incredible wildlife, including a bald eagle soaring right above us. 🦅

The chaos continues as we head to the epic Blue By U Farm just outside Jacksonville, Florida. 🌞🍇 Here’s where Lisa, self-proclaimed fruit skeptic, finally taste-tests farm-fresh blueberries and strawberries and decides if they really are better straight off the bush! (Spoiler alert: MIND. BLOWN. 🤯)

Between dodging rogue donkeys, shopping for farm goodies like homemade cobbler and jams, and chasing runaway deer tracks in the sand, this Harvest Host location had it ALL! 🦙🦌🐓 Plus, thanks to our awesome solar setup from Future Solutions, we camped off-grid in 94° Florida heat — and stayed cool without needing hookups! 🌞🔋
