What happened on the Midwest RV Crawl?
The 2026 Midwest RV Crawl was a FindUsCamping group road trip from Marion, Virginia to North Trace RV Resort in Indiana. Everyone drove their own rig at their own pace, and the Village met up at each stop for food, tours and campfires. Here is the whole trip, day by day, in the order the photos were taken. Day 1: Marion, Virginia
The 2026 Midwest RV Crawl kicked off in Marion, Virginia. First stop was the Dip Dog stand, and then the Village pulled the rigs into a drive-in for movie night under the stars.
Tennessee and the Grand Ole Opry
Next, the Village crossed into Tennessee for a dinner together at The Local, a big pancake breakfast, and a backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry, where everyone got a turn at the famous circle.
A night at the Opry
A few nights later, the Village came back for a live Grand Ole Opry show. Same stage, this time with the lights up and the music loud.
Kayaking inside a cave
Then came one of the wildest days of the Midwest RV Crawl: clear kayaks glowing blue and green on an underground lake, plus a giant troll statue for the kids to climb.
Village life and the Ark Encounter
RV life on a crawl means helping each other out, so a couple of villagers climbed up and fixed a roof together. After a sushi night, the Village toured the Ark Encounter in Kentucky.
Buffalo Trace Distillery
In Frankfort, Kentucky, the Village toured Buffalo Trace Distillery: the warehouses, the bottling line, and a tasting at the end.
Fourth of July at the Air Force Museum
On the Fourth of July, the Midwest RV Crawl rolled into the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio, with planes, jets and rockets from every era.
Indiana and the finish line
Finally, the Village lined up the rigs at North Trace RV Resort in Indiana for the last stretch: a paddlewheel boat ride, a birthday dinner, matching Midwest RV Crawl shirts and one more campfire.
