Key West Adventures & Key Lime Pie Challenge!

Welcome to the first week of the FindUsCamping Zero to Zero Crawl! 🚐🌴 We’re kicking off this epic adventure at Sun Outdoors Sugar Loaf Key in the Florida Keys, one ...of the most beautiful places to camp and explore in the United States. Lisa and I have visited the Keys many times, but this trip is extra special because we’re bringing along some amazing crawlers who haven’t been here before, and we can't wait to show them everything this iconic destination has to offer! 😎

During our stay, we’ll be hitting some Key West hot spots, including the famous Southernmost Point in the US, where we’ll snap a group picture to capture this moment forever! 📸 The fun doesn’t stop there – we’ll be hopping on an awesome guided jet ski tour with Furry Water Adventures 🏍️💦 to experience the stunning waterways and wildlife of the Keys like never before.

But wait – no Florida Keys adventure is complete without trying Key Lime Pie! 🍰 Lisa will be on a mission to see if she can find a spot that can outdo Kermit's Key Lime Pie (it's going to be a tough competition, but someone has to do it 😂). Woody is also planning an impromptu Taco Tuesday at the campground with all of the crawlers – good food, great company, and plenty of laughs 🌮🔥.

And of course, we’ll be visiting Mile Marker 0 in Key West, the official starting point of the 2025 FindUsCamping 0 to 0 Crawl, where our epic journey will take us through 13 states, all the way up to Fort Kent, Maine. 🌍 It's going to be an unforgettable journey, and we're just getting started!

That’s right—if you didn’t grab a Passport America membership before now, you may have missed out on one of the best deals in the RV world. As RVers who rely on free camping and discounted rates, this change is disappointing. We’ve seen plenty of Passport America reviews praising the affordability and convenience, especially for full-timers and long-haulers.

Then there’s Thousand Trails, another giant in the world of RV memberships. They offer access to hundreds of campgrounds across the country, and for years, their Thousand Trails Elite Membership with lifetime perks was the holy grail. But, just like Passport America, Thousand Trails is phasing out these lifetime memberships. For those of us who’ve invested in the Elite package, this is a major shake-up. If you’ve ever read a Thousand Trails review, you know how much people value the network of campgrounds and the potential for nearly free camping once the membership is paid off.

So what does this mean for those of us living the RV lifestyle? Well, it’s time to reevaluate and diversify our memberships. While Passport America and Thousand Trails are changing their models, options like Harvest Hosts and Good Sams still offer strong value. Harvest Host camping is perfect for unique stays at farms, wineries, and attractions—and with the rise in popularity of harvest host RV camping, it’s become a fan favorite for those craving more than just a typical campground.

At FindUsCamping, we’ve relied on a mix of these memberships to stretch our travel budget and experience all the beauty the open road has to offer. While these changes are frustrating, they also remind us to stay informed and flexible. If you're just getting into RV living, or looking for some fresh RV tips, now’s the time to dig into membership details before committing.

Unforgettable Weekend at Suttler Post Farm | Budweiser Clydesdales, Pub Crawl & Holiday Open House!

Join us on a heartwarming adventure as we head from the warm Florida Keys to the ...chilly, festive atmosphere of Mechanicsville, Maryland! We were invited by our friends at Suttler Post Farm to help set up for their big holiday open house, which supports a local hospice organization. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Wayne and his wonderful family, and we had the incredible privilege of meeting the WORLD-FAMOUS Budweiser Clydesdales before the public! 🐴✨

Get an exclusive, up-close look as we mingle with these majestic horses while helping prepare for the holiday event. As if that wasn't enough, we also experienced the unforgettable Leonardtown Pub Crawl, where the Budweiser hitch paraded through the streets, closing down roads and making stops at local bars. 🍺🎉

The whole weekend was packed with unique moments, unforgettable sights, and new friends – and we are so grateful to Suttler Post Farm for letting us tag along.
